Edison Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the second annual UnCovering the Legacy: Black History Celebration of Dance!

This event is a collective of works from over a dozen organizations including dance studios, dance companies, individual dance artists, schools and universities. The artists’ work centers around the theme of Black History and Black Present by showcasing creative content from black choreographers and allies, sharing personal stories, and paying tribute to other trailblazers.

This year’s event will be a 2-night spectacular, with a virtual event being held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 7PM on YouTube and Facebook Live; and a live event at the Missouri City Community Center on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 6PM. Both nights are free to the public.

This event provides a platform for artists to present culturally relevant work that uniquely represents their community. In doing so, we galvanize our community in making steps toward love and unity displayed through racial equity and social reforms.
